Van Gogh project

Description: In this project, we learned all about Vincent Van Gogh and tried to recreate a landscape using techniques from his famous Starry Night painting. One of the main focuses was linework and movement. To make the project we used construction paper, tissue paper, crayons scissors and lots of acrylic paint! The hardest part was trying to glue the tissue paper with the acrylic paint. The yellow card under the picture is a notecard to write down different things that we learned about Van Gogh.

Extension Activity: Once the artworks are complete, the teacher could facilitate a class discussion about the experience. Encouraging students to share what they learned about Van Gogh's techniques, their own creative process, and how they incorporated elements of his style into their work.
